Does medicare cover spa or hot tubs? |
i need to find a spa or hot tub covered by medicare because i have chronic pain and fibromyalgia Medicare won't pay for spas or hot tubs. Even if your doctor gave you a certificate of medical necessity, Medicare won't cover it. You can call 1-800 MEDICARE or your local medical equipment supply company to see if Medicare might cover it for you. Medicare does pay for some types of physical and occupational therapy. ha ha ha, i doubt it. ha! Here, your doctor would have to request this item as a medical necessity. He would need to state your illness and describe exactly why this machine is needed and how often. Then he would need to sign a Doctor's Certificate. This information would need to be mailed to the appropriate agency for approval. |
