Medical or medicare or help outside the u.s? |
ok i have an emergency a friends dad is really bad condition in guatemala (outside of u.s) hes a u.s citizen i was wondering if medical or medicare or anything can help with hospital bills or any help... thank you sooo much any help u can email me at josemedina1983@yahoo.com Medicare will not help outside the U. S. I don't know if his insurance or Medicare would pay for a hospital there. You'd have to call his insurance directly to find out the answer to that. However, if they won't pay for a hospital there now, your friend's father may be able to get re-imbursed by his insurance when he returns home. He'd just have to pay out-of-pocket now and get the money back later. But, again, it depends on his insurance plan which someone would have to call directly to find out. |
