Dental Medicaid? |
Is there a type of medicaid or something, for dental? How can I apply for this? Does regular medicaid cover it? Medicaid covers everything. call your insurance company to see what dentist you have to go to. sometimes you can just go to any dentist but some insurances want you to choose a dentist from their list. it's not I just spoke with medicaid about this same issue the other day.....I see you have chosen this as the best answer, though I wouldn't consider it the correct one. Report It It will probably depend on what state you live in. If I remember correctly West Virginia only covers dental for minors. I am not sure about other states. Contact the Medicaid office in your state. Here is a list... I know that in South Carolina where I am from medicaid only pays for childrens dental visits. The ONLY times medicaid will pay for adults are if the tooth needs an emergency extraction....or to heal an infection. I think something should be done about this because it's not fair. I am beginng to think that the goverment looks at it like this.........no teeth no eat, no eat no food stamps.....they are always trying to crap on us. In Texas, Medicaid covers for people up to age 19 or 20. After that, they can try for HMO Blue coverage. For people who make a little bit more money, there's the CHIPS program, which is available to children and adults; but you have to qualify financially for any coverage, be it Medicaid or CHIPS. Dental work In Texas Medicaid is only covered for children up to age 20 .Check your local Department of Health they may have low cost clinic of course you need to qualify. HELLO, |
