Medicaid and gastric bypass? |
Please help. My mother received the gastric bypass surgery three years ago and it has helped her very much. She has lost over 200 pounds. Now the problem is she has a lot of leftover skin. What I don't know is if her doctor doesn't take Medicaid to do the plastic surgery of the skin or if Medicaid doesn't even pay for it. Can somebody please tell me if Medicaid pays to remove some of the access skin. Thank you so much Plastic surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. i think that is considered cosmetic surgey and i really doubt that medicaid covers cosmetic...i believe they have a website and maybe you can e-mail them your question?... They will pay for it if it medically necessary. |
