wanting to know what plastic surgeons are covered by florida medicaid and which procedure is covered by medicaid such as breast reduction. 99% of all plastic surgery is not covered by any medical plan. Unless there is some form of serious health risk, it wouldn't be covered. I couldn't see anyone covering a breast reduction as it's not life threatening and would be considered purely cosmetic. no it is not covered by it unless it is a health problem and big breat are not "Reduction mammoplasty, procedure code 19318, requires prior authorization from the Medicaid medical consultant when performed outside of the hospital setting" As a reduction is medically necessary it should be able to be covered. |
