Will Medicaid cover a Home Health Aid?

How much will Medicaid cover toward a Home Health Aid?. In Michigan we only received $300 to hire a care taker for my disabled brother, a pinch in the bucket. Are other states any different?, I will be moving to either Florida or Nevada but will consider a different state if need be. Also can I even get two shifts to cover 24 hours?

Yes State Medicaid will cover an aid. But every state is different, so you need to check into where ever your moving to.

And no Medicaid will not cover a 24 hour care in home. For that the only way the State will cover is if your brother is put into a Home Health Care Facility.

No they will not pay for 24 hour care at home. Here in Oregon we have foster homes for adults that the state will pay for most off - still not the whole bill. They figure that you need to be in a home or the convalescent hospital if you need 24 hour care.
I'm sorry but there is no state that is going to pay for all of the care needed if the person is still in their home. I do not know of any other state that has foster care for adults like they do here.
