Insurance, medicaid, miscarriage!! HELP!? |
I was in the process of getting insurance, I kept putting it off 'cause i didnt think i would need it. I finally submitted it, then found out I was pregnant 2 days later! I couldnt modify my application so I waited for a reply from the insurance company (approved or not.) five days after I found out I was pregnant I had to go to the hospital, where I found that i was miscarrying. Both my husband and I are full time students and neither of us have jobs, so the receptionist asked me what my occupation is and I said i dont work and that I go to school so she gave me an application for Medicaid and told me to call for an appt with a medicaid work. I didnt think about it until a couple days after I received the news. a week and a half later I recieved a package in the mail stating that I was approved for PPO health insurance. So here is the confusing part. I kno ill get denied for medicaid from our "income" but we cant afford to pay the whole amount. will my insurance cover it? it should cover it it is usually retroactive up to 3 months! It should cover from the date of application. IF they deny it, contact DHS and ask them if you qualify for any help paying that..you should .. GL and sorry about the baby.. |
