Does medicaid in florida cover dental? |
I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed, and I don't have medicaid because I have to send in some documents- anyways once I send them in I can get medicaid but will medicaid even cover getting my wisdom teeth removed? because if it does, I will jsut wait to get my insurance because currently I am uninsured and this is going to cost me 2 grand UP FRONT out of pocket It covers dental care for children under the age of 18. It does not cover dental care for adults. However, you will find it difficult to find a dentist that will accept medicaid.good luck!! its hard to find a dentist these days that accept medicaid. I dont think it will cover it. You can get your own dental insurance... Privately. Check blue cross or safeguard see if they have any plans you can get through yourself. Also check out care credit. It's a health care credit card some dentists accept and you can get 0% interest for 12 months! Sometimes even up to 18 or 24. Check out www.carecredit.com . Best of luck to you! I don't think it will cover extractions. Medicaid is not as good as it used to be in Florida or nationwide for that matter. The government can't afford the high costs. If you want to significantly reduce your cost though, look into the MySimpleCard membership. I work for a company that offers discounted benefits for Dental and its only $19.95 a month, PLUS we are offering money back for registration fees!! The Dental plus has no limits, no waiting periods. PLUS you get Pharmacy, Vision and Chiropractor care for Free!! You would be saving lots on this!! You would be saving up to 80% on any procedures. If you would more info, visit my website: www.mybenefitsplus.com/wishes. You can also register online there. If you have any questions at all feel free to contact me at 704-763-1241 or email me at cbrown61@ameriplan. |
