Doea anyone know if you can have Medicaid and another insurancfe like Blue Cross at the same time?

Do you have to notify Medicaid if your child has received regular insurance while on medicaid? Would you have to cancel the medicaid coverage?

I had both when I was pregnant. Whatever my regular insurance didn't cover, medicaid would cover the rest.

Yes, my husband & I have AARP and whatever isn't covered is picked up by Medicaid or the other way around. I always mix them up.

If you receive medical bills, always check with the Dr's office to make sure they have your numbers. A case in point is my sister in law whose hubby was in the hospital unable to handle the bills. She began receiving enormous bills and was ready to pay them. My husband helped her out and they checked with the Dr's office. Even though all his numbers were submitted when he was admitted, they still didn't have them. Turns out she's getting full coverage.
