Need Braces, No insurance, Medicaid soon?

I am a student at Michigan State University and I am really looking into getting braces. I have had braces before when I was 14 but my wisdom teeth have pushed all my teeth back into their jumbled state. I really don't want the clunky metal braces again, I would prefer Invisiline or Invisalign. I'm pretty sure I'll have medicaid pretty soon, and I'm also pretty sure they won't cover a dime. What are some affordable options to get these braces since I am on a tight budget, being that I am in college and my family is bankrupt. I pay for my college myself with grants, scholarships, and loans. I'm willing to pay whatever the price may be, but would obviously want to find the most affordable option.

Since braces are considered cosmetic, medicaid will not cover them. (most health insurance won't unless the orthodontist is willing to get creative with the paperwork, which most will not.)
Most orthodontists offer a payment plan, where you can make small reasonable payments during the treatment. That is probably the only feasable option for you right now.

maybe you should go have your wisdom teeth removed when you make more room in your mouth for the teeth to move and shift it may take a little longer then braces but medicaid should pay a good bit for wisdom remove. I had braces when I was younger and when I got them taken off they shifted again and my wisdom teeth were coming in so when I had them removed everything went pretty much back to normal.

College students can't get medicaid. You are a male without children. The federal government won't match funds to Michigan Medicare for you. Look into your college's health insurance program. Does your college have a college of dentistry? They tend to do things on the cheap.
