Measles After Measles Vacinnation In Children. Please suggest ASAP?

can measles still occur post measles vaccination?

It could be a real measles or just vaccination reaction (measles like syndr).
For some kids, there's symptom mimic to measles after (1 - 7 days) measles shot, symptoms like : high fever, red spot all over the body, sore throat, etc.
The different is only that vaccination reaction will just give your kid 2 - 3 days fever.

But either measles or measles vacc. reaction, you can only give your kid antipyretic, anti-convulsion if necessary, vitamin A & C.
Becarefull of it's side effect, your kids could probably need to hospitalize for convulsion or dehydration.

Do not hesitate to consult this problenm with your doctor.

The measles vaccination is not designed to remove every chance of catching measles. Its job is to expose a child to the measles virus at an early stage to allow their immune system to build up some kind of immunity to it. If they are exposed to the virus afterwards it will not stop them from catching it every time, but it will decrease the severity of the disease. Remember before vaccination for measles, a child could be left with nerve damage, deafness or even die- now most children emerge with the odd spot scar and nothing more. Thanks to vaccination.

The problem lies in the vaccine itself. I was mailed a notice years ago that the measles vaccine i had received as a child was no good and I needed another one. It is supposed to create antibody in your own body to ward against measles. They do this by injecting a dead form of the virus to trigger your body to produce them. I think it's like anything else, not everyone will respond the same, that's why they disclose the associated risk. All in all it seems by history that so far it has been better than no vaccine because we have dramatically fewer cases. I have one son who almost died from the vaccine. Your not supposed to be able to get it after the vaccine, but nothing's a sure bet.
