I live in Japan, where there has been a recent epidemic of measles among those of mostly University age (there is a whole generation who missed out on measles boosters in Primary school)...as well a number of cases among small children. I moved to Japan when I was in my early 20s - no special vaccinations were required. See your Doctor and have a "lab titer" done. This is a blood test that will show whether or not you are immune to MMR. You should have had MMR (measles, mumps, rubella vaccination) when you moved to Japan unless you were born there. |
