How to help the measles?

My 4 year old daughter has the measles. What can I do to help her? Home Remedies? Thanks

the actual disease there is not much you can do apart from in early stages keep the temperature low, with bathing and keeping clothes off, tepid sponging at night time.
as for later stages of it, when the rash shows, the ill feeling should have subsided by this time, and it is now just the itch and at times slight swelling of infected area to deal with, now you say only natural remedies, so i will only tell you of those,
1) chamomile solution, take a hand full of the leaves from plant and boil in about half pint of water with 1 tablespoon of sea salt, allow to cool in fridge, and then dab on to rash with cotton wool.
2) Aloe Vera plant, take a stem and break and dab sap on to effected area.
3) Add 2 table spoons of sea salt and a few sprigs of lavender and chamomile (crushed and added to an old cut of bottom of tights/net of some kind and tied) to a warm bath, not hot... do not use soap, just allow to stay in water.(do not get in eyes)

if your daughter has a sore throat honey is the best thing to have to ease discomfort.

Mix 1 -2 tea spoons of natural local honey, clear type, with 1 third a cup of hot water, dissolve then top up with cold water, allow child to sip slowly.

may i just add that all the above have been used on my own family and myself and husband for many years and have never shown any bad effects.

used for rashes, skin itching, nettle stings

just wanted to add, please make sure it is just measles your daughter has, and seek medical advise... all above information is for measles, but if it is not measles, you need to get other help.

*try calpol and infant antihistamines.and calamine lotion.the calpol will lower her temp, the antihistamines will help stop the itching and the calomine will help sort out any rash.good luck.
