Can vaccinated Adults still get measles? |
My doctor told me yesterday that i have measles. It looks like a bunch of bug bites spread out but i don't have the red blotchy look like the ones in the pictures i've seen. I have to go in for blood work to confirm, but bloodwork takes awhile and i'm interested now. If anyone could help me with this i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks You can get measles (or any disease you have been vaccinated for) if your titer levels are low. Make sure that if you had your shots when you were a child and will potentially be exposed to a certain disease like tetanus or measles, have your levels checked. You may need a booster shot. yeah, very unlikely but its possible, the vaccine is only something like 90-95% effective i beleive. especially if it has been many years since you got your shots. yes some times.although body is vaccinated there are chances of virus attack .off course the intensity will be very less vaccines usually have a limited effectiveness |
