Where to find a mastectomy bra? |
My grandmother had a mastectomy years back, and her insurance covers a free breast prosthesis and 2 bras. The problem is, the place she was accustomed to going is no longer open! The next available certified place is Nordstroms, and the Fitting "Specialist" appears to be no older than 20 y/o, and has about as much experience as I do! We've notified our insurance company about our dilemma, they claim only Nordstroms is available in our area. It's time for her renewal, she was hardly satisfied with the bras from last year, and we have no alternative. Any suggestions out there? We're welcome to all, this is so discouraging! Thanks to all feedback! Crystal, being a level oner and all, I see you find this cute, I might just report you kiddo. try to "google" for it, or call the cancer society or a local cancer treatment center a what look online Check with a cancer Specialist, preferably one she is familiar with. They may be able to recommend someone. http://www.tlcdirect.org/depts/Mastectom... The first place to look is ask any doctor who performs procedures like this. That should be part of the interviewing process prior to surgery anyway. The second place I would look is ON LINE, Google I find is best to find just about anything you need to know. Hope this helps. thats nice dear. Mastieconomys bras seem very rare and i doubt you wil find a shop near by, why dont you ask ur grandmother and her insurance company coz im sure insurance policiies cover breast implants. I did a simple Yahoo search and came up with....... http://www.buststop.com/ Binsons Medical Supply. <}:-}) I used to work at a Prosthetic and Orthotic Business. They will help you locate the correct one for you and even custom make and order it for you. Good Luck Some 20 year olds can do some things quite well. If you have trouble with her ask to see the supervisor of her department. Nordstroms has a good reputation in customer satisfaction. I don't know the cost of these prosthetics. If things can't be resolved at Nordsttroms you might consider the family pooling together to get something that is comfortable for your grandmother and foregoing the insurance.. |
