Antibiotics treat an infection not swelling. In order to reduce inflammation it is necessary to use an anti-inflammatory medication. When I had my surgery I used frozen uncooked rice in zip lock bags to reduce swelling. It conformed to my shape and did not have a lot of condensation. Ask your doctor for some pain medication and his advise on the swelling. I know it really is so painful.

I did a lymph massage on myself. You ever so lightly rake your fingers toward the center of your chest. It should not hurt if you are using a light touch. Also did they give your any exercises? No matter how much it hurts it helps. Good luck. Here's to perfect radiant health.
