How long does the scar from a mastectomy hurt?

How long does the scar from a mastectomy hurt?

4 a little while. I wish you all the best

I guess that scars, are scars.
I got a hernia operation.
It was very painful for the first 4 days.
Afterwards, the pain slowly went away.
The scar itched for about 3 months.
Now I feel nothing, even when I rub the scar.

Hope this helps.

Hi there.. I have had 2 mastectomies. The post-op period is painful. I think the first 2 weeks was the worst. Once the staples and drains came out things got much better. Just knowing that the surgery would prolong my life made it all OK. I am still here 5 years later. There is great medication for pain and I didn't hesitate you use it. Good Luck and Blessings..
