How do the surgeons perform a mastectomy?

they do surgery.

they cut, chop, pull things out, and then sew.

They make an incision saving a flap of skin from the breast. Then they remove the breast tissue, fat, nipple and glands often taking the lymp node in the arm pit closest to the affected breast. Then they close the skin down and suture it. Sometimes they'll do a reconstruction at the same time where they can implant to the area to maintain symmetry.
