Should marijuana be considered a drug since it's actually good for you??

1) marijuana makes you heart rate better
2) helps you from getting strokes at a younger age
3) makes your metabolism faster
4) is good for you lungs
5) in Chinese studies of remedial herbs, marijuana is one of the best ones

I've had terrible anxiety. There were a few times nothing would help but marijuana. It has so many beneficial qualities, and is much safer than some of those insane meds that are being prescribed everyday.

Marijuana can cause long-term damage such as heart disease, strokes and lung cancer just like tobbacco. Think about it, you are introducing smoke into your lungs that the cells must process and clean out. Eventually this causes permanent damage. Your lungs were designed to breathe clean air - so all smoking is bad. And killing brain cells is sort of significant don't you think?

Or have you killed so many brain cells at this point that you can't figure this out?

marijuanna is considdered a drug ,that is the whole problem and many people went to jail because of it.

Marijuana may have some beneficial properties, but it is not good for you. Especially if it is smoked. It is a drug. I inferred from your question that you think drugs are bad for you. Medication to control blood pressure is good for you, yet it is a drug.
As far as it helping you lungs, that is not true. I don't know about helping your heart or speeding metabolism. True, it makes you hungry, but it doesn't aid in digestion.
I am not anti-marijuana. I think it is a safe drug. I use to enjoy it, a lot. But don't think that it is not a drug or it is good for you. Psychoactive drugs are not really good for you. They can treat mental disorders, but you are certainly healthier avoiding them instead of taking them.

Only in your little world. Marijuana is good medicine for the number one killer in the world, stress. It is also good pain medication under certain circumstances. It should be legalized for medicinal purposes, but you need to check your facts. Or are you just speaking about what it does for you personally?

I'm not sure what your source is. Marijuana is actually as good for you as tobacco is. In fact, doctors in the '50's recommended tobacco as a medical remedy to various neurosis.

My psych prof lectured us on how when marijuana was made illegal at the turn of the 20th century, spurred by racial motivation (against Mexicans), some politician stood up and suggested that tobacco be banned as well. Needless to say, this guy was laughed out of the Legislature. His suggestion was taken as a joke since the majority of these politicians were addicted to cigars and chewing tobacco.

Marijuana is a drug as is tobacco and I feel that it should have the same legal standing as tobacco has, although the rights of drug-free bystanders should be respected (e.g., I have a right to the public air as much as a smoker - whether marijuana or tobacco - so don't puff in my vicinity please).

Anything you take to alter your body is a drug. I use the word drug for medication ( over the counter, or prescribed by the doctor) all the time. Marijuana is prescribed to me from a doctor. It is no different then other "drugs" I have been given, but with no nasty side effects.....
