Would creatine help with Marfan's Syndrome?

I have Marfan's Syndrome and I was wondering if taking a creatine supplement could help with the joint pain and muscle pain/soreness. If you have any insight on this please let me know.

I will be honest, and tell you I don't know much about creatine.
I also have Marfan's and I can tell you it is a life long battle. Is your pain muscle spasms? If so I suggest you talk to your doctor about perscribing a muscle relaxer. My pain has gotten to the point where I use the Fentanyl pain patch and even that only half works. I also take Norco to help relieve the pain. Have you tried glucosamine? That helps a lot of people (and even helps my aging cats) It did help me for quite some time, but then I developed a problem with Dural Ectasia in my back. Hopefully that is something you will never have to deal with.

Very interesting creatine question. I checked pubmed and have found no studies with creatine and marfans.

Creatine will certainly increase intramuscular water retention, and give you some increased energy under short duration heavy intensity lifting.

Some people have cramping when using creatine... whether retention of water will help with pain/soreness, I do not believe it will.

I know some lifters these days are liking products with "microlactin" to help with joint pain, you might want to try giving that a shot first.
