Is marfan's syndrome dominant or recessive?

Is marfan's syndrome dominant or recessive?

its autosomal dominant

Each child has a 50/50 chance of inheriting this disorder if a parent has it. This does not mean that 2 out of 4 children will have it, each child could or (unlikely) none could inherit it.

One in four people with the disorder have no parent with the syndrome also.

it is dominant. You either have it or you don't. It does not skip generations. apx 25% of all Marfan cases are spontaneous mutations, meaning neithr parent has it. My mother bore 4 children. 3 of us have it, one does not. The one that does not has 6 children, none affected by this disorder. Of the other 3 1 died of comp;ications related to Marfans, the other 2 chose to remain childless, knowing the rist to the mother and to the child.
