People with marfan's skinny limbs, more likely to get carpal tunnel syndrome/ulnar nerve syndrome? |
I got it , and it doesn't go away. and i get it bad with any little typing i do. i even wonder why, since for example i have avoided typing with the right hand , except for a few clicks, and still i get tingly fingers. I've been told by doctor that although i don't have all the symptoms of marfan's, that due to my skinny long limbs i have a part of it. So it was inevitable right? of course i use computer alot and i used to play piano alot, but other people don't even get it and they type alot. I'm not sure that this is all that common in Marfan's sufferers.Nicolo Paganini was one of the greatist violinists that ever lived and he never suffered from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He also had Marfan's Syndrome. The best thing for you to do is to try to change the angle of your wrists while doing things that may aggrevate the condition.Since it's an inflammatory condition you'll probably have to take some time off of the things that irritate it.Then resume these activities after you feel a little relief but make those corrections to your technique.Your doctor should be telling you how to best resolve this problem. |
