Having my back straightend soon!?

Well, in about 6 to 8 months that is, I am going to have nearly the whole of my back straightend useing metal bits and pieces. Has anyone had it done and how long does it take an adult to recover after the operation? Do the legs (especially the knees) feel more strain on them than before the op and is it a safe operation? Thanks. P.S I have Marfan Syndrome (if you know what that is!)

mine is hunch back and to date doctors have done nothing and it gets in supper pains.

ooh that sounds painful good luck with that
