My daughter has maple syrup urine disease, she is 19?

She is currently on a liver transplant list, it will be a year at the end of the month. We will be staying in Pittsburg Pa for up to 3 months, she will also be giving her liver to someone else. I have been tryin to fund raise. Anyone have any ideas, everytime i come up with something, it gets shot down. Thanks

I am exceedingly well-versed in medicine and
I have never heard of this disease.
I'm sorry to hear that your daughter needs a liver donor.
There are websites on line that you can check.
Good luck and God Bless.

Make stuff. Set up donation boxes around town. Bake sale. Ask the church? Good luck

I am sorry i do not have any idea but I will be praying for your daughter. Good luck with whatever come your way.

who are you kidding?

don't try to do it alone-
contact local civic and church groups and ask if they would be willing to help raise funds
contact local tv stations too

contact st. jude. set up those donation cans in local stores, have garag sales, contact the local paper, and local news station plus get a girls scout/ by scout troop involved b/c evry year they sell candy and stuff and ask the rfits to be sent toward your daughter.

I also had never heard of this disease so I looked it up. Reading about it made me aware of how serious a disease it is. I think you have done something you aren't even aware of and that is making others aware that this is actually a disease. Have you tried SSI?
I am a little confused on her giving her liver to someone else when she needs a new one.
Sometimes schools will do the penny jar fund raiser.
If you know any local musicians, they can put on a benefit concert.
Have you met with a social worker at the hospital to discuss financial options?
I don't know if I have helped you but your family is in my prayers.
