Why aren't the physicians educated from medschool the managed care system in depth since they are the ones

since these physicians are the ones who decide on the tests, DME, medications....etc that incur such high cost to the healthcare system including medicare and medicaid that we as taxpayers end up paying for....? the teaching in school are very general and basic and some outdated..

The teaching in medical school is hardly "basic" as your comment stated. Medicine is such a vast field that it is impossible to teach medical students everything they need to know. That's why they have to do residency for more training in their specialty be it pediatrics or surgery. The business side of medicine is learned through experience and talking to mentors, associates, & colleagues. Knowing which test to order & what medicine to prescibe is an integral part of their training. However, physicians are often second guessed by patients who often want more (expensive) testing or drugs that they do not need. If I only have a dollar for everytime a patient has told me "my (place relative or acquaintance here) had the exact same thing, and it turned out that he/she had (place extremely rare condition here)..."

Somebody needs to learn about punctuation....

Can you say "run on sentence"?

I was given a quite in depth education on managed care in school. We were even required to write an essay on managed care and medical ethics.

I am required to attend several meetings per year on the changes in managed care.

Obviously you have never been to medical school and have no idea about what you speak.

I guess I'm lucky my Dr does that.
