When everything seems hopeless, and no one really seems to understand what can you do? |
I had a pretty good career as a mechanic, struggled with what was diagnosed as bipolar disorder but I managed. Then my physical health went downhill, and I could no longer work in a physical type job. Naturally, I have had some difficulties with finding jobs that don't require a lot of physical exertion, even with a college degree. I am down to my last 27 dollars, my family believes that I just don't try, and am just feeling sorry for myself so they won't help me anymore, and actually moved 2000 miles away. I keep trying to find jobs, and keep being turned down, over and over again. I really don't want to kill myself because I don't want to hurt the few people who care about me, but I'm running out of options, and starving to death doesn't appeal to me. I have tried to get disability through social security, and have been repeatedly denied of course. Is there a point when you have to decide it's not worth it anymore? Where there is life, there is hope. Sorry to read you are in such a situation. You said you have a few people that care about you. Could you possibly stay with them for a while? You could always look into a customer service job where you answer phones all day. That isn't much physical exertion and they are usually always hiring. Try going to a personnel agency with your qualifications and see what jobs they may have. NO. It just means that you need to try maybe a different path. Can you get on some kind of disability until you can change things around? There are plenty of things you can do that are not necessarily physical. They may or may not be the most challenging, but at least you will be doing something. I found that when I was down about something the one thing that made me feel better was to volunteer to help others, and take the focus off myself. Give it a try. Also, please be sure that you are getting enough exercise, drinking enough water and eating right. That is what you have to start with. |
