Confessions to an ex?

I need an opinion.

My ex really hurt me and he ended being a jerk to me which almost caused me to take my life. That's how drastic it was. He contacted me today after about a month of not speaking. We didn't really talk much. He doesnt know what I had to go through to maintain my sanity and how i managed to keep my head up regardless of how much he hurted me. I forgave him but I feel like he should know so that he wouldn't do it to another girl. I don't know if he has done that to othe girls. I would not be surprised. Should I contact him to let him know or should I let him contact me? Or shouldn't I care at all?

honey not to sound cold or anything but right now you need to focus on you and getting and staying well we all go through hard times in life and im sure we all at one time or another just wished it to end but the reality of it is there is no one or nothing in this world worth taking your own life for and suicide is a selfish act and only hurts those who love you and if this guy loved you he would not hurt you people who love you are not going to hurt you and also i will pray for your forgiveness and im not tryin to sound like no holly roller or shove anything down your throat but everything happens for a reason and this break up is all a part of gods plan he has somthing else in mind for you and all the trials ,lessons in life are to prepare us for what god has put us here for keep your head up god never gives more than we can handle we may not always understand but it will all become clear later

First, nothing and nobody is worth taking your own life or someone else's life! That being said, your ex is not the reason you were having suicidal thoughts. You are your own worst enemy and you are obviously still attached to this guy for whatever reason. I really don't want to sound harsh because everyone on here, including me, has had at least one really bad break-up. However, if you're having suicidal thoughts, I think you need to seek some professional help. Also, avoid this guy if he was so mean to you.
