Did I break or dislocate my toe? |
I was rolling around on the mat during jiu-jitso, and somehow managed to hurt my little toe. I think it may have been the result of pushing my body weight off on my foot, and my foot moved, but the toe stayed in the same place. the treatment you mentioned, taping toe to toe next to it, ice is good. you may want an xray to make sure it is in good alignment and try using stiff soled shoe to give area some support. it will take a long time to be pain free and for toe to heal. there is a great website to try out, myfootshop.com that may be able to help you out some more. use the source as a direct linke. even if it were broken there is no treatment needed I agree you can't treat a broken toe, ice and heat regularly yto relieve the pain and tape it up and try to stay off of it....sorry. look i m a physical therapist and fitness consultant visit http://ranadev-kar.tripod.com You can put ice on it, but I don't see much point. |
