Is it okay for me to do an mri and a mammography on the same day? |
is it okay for me to do an mri and a mammography on the same day if its avoidable? Sure, that is fine. This morning, I did a shoulder MRI on a patient, who also had an ultrasound and a mammogram. It is usually easier to get it "all done" on the same day. No worries! Absolutley- there are no contraindications to having both. Our patients sometimes have 3-4 procedures in the same day. MRI's are done with magnets and Mammograms are done with x-rays so you don't have to be afraid of exposing yourself to extra radiation. You are safe. |
