How much would a mammography cost if you had to pay for it?

I live in Northern California and I work for a free standing imaging center. We charge $250 for a screening mammogram, but the hospital in our town charges about $675! If you don't have insurance, please call around to facilities in your area. Prices will vary, not only from state to state, but they also vary greatly from facility to facility.

You can also get help with the cost of mammograms from many agencies. In our town, we have a program called "Every Woman Counts." Contact your local Public Health Department for information about the types of programs available in your area. Best wishes......

The average cost of a mammogram is approximately $100. Most insurance plans cover the cost of screening mammograms, and many facilities offer low-cost or financial assistance for those who qualify.
