Please help me doctors with this important problem!!!!!?


age:66 sex:F
sugical pathlogy report
speciman:colonic biopsy,sigmoid area
clin.data:abnormal colonic mucosa.R/O malignancy
microscopic:all of the fragments are partly or completely replaced by adenomatous halnds with severe atypia.one of the fragments show few adenomatous grands along the bundles of muscularis mucosa,not excuding invation.typical desmoplastic reaction was not seen.
diagnosis:colonic biopsy,sigmoid area:
adenomatous changes to colonic mucosa with severe atypia see comment.
comment:stromal invasion cannot be excluded with certainty.examination of the entire lesion is recommended.

Malignancy - that is cancer. Maybe you have A typical cells which means there is a possiblity that it could turn into cancer one day, not that you do have it. Sounds like you have to have another test to find out. Don't worry until you talk to your doctor. This may be a good thing. If you wouldn't have gone in these cells could have gone into cancer and then you would have had a real problem. Then again, I am no doctor. Call his secretary and ask what it all means. Would be nice if they could put in words we can understand!
