Dr. "believes" it is benign...?

I have had mammograms, ultrasound and an MRI for a lump the doctor believes is benign but has not ordered a biopsy. Yet. I now have to go for full exams every month. Has anyone been in this situation and can benign, or what looks to be, turn to a malignancy?

I'm wondering why the doctor would not have ordered a biopsy. Maybe you should see a second doctor just to get another opinion.

They can do a needle biopsy right in the office. The lab can verify the cells and you can finally relax.

Good luck with this.

Go to a different doctor.

At the very least this will give you peace of mind.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 30 and have recently had to have another biopsy because there is a lump that may be cancer again.

Trust me - better safe than sorry.

If you are concerned about this - get another doctor to check it.
