Breast question?

i had a digital mammography june 07 this is how it read lymph nodes are seen in the left axilla. no spiculated lesions are seen. no grouped microcalcifications are noted. there is no evidence of malignancy. a biopsy clip is seen in the right breast .small nodular density seen in the left breast was present previously and is stable and unchanged. [that clip was when i had a stereotactic biopsy of the right breast because ultrasound showed breast mass it came back find in 03 ]result: benign

has anyone has a diagnosis like this or anything close ,all my docs have been well not good bedside manners. and now i have no insurance and can't get any

Lymph nodes in the axilla (towards the armpit) are normal findings. Many women have these.

Some types of microcalcifications, especially clusters or groups of microcalcifications, are an early sign of breast cancer. Spiculated masses are always suspicious for breast cancer. So, it is very good news that neither of these were seen on your mammogram.

After a needle core biopsy (either stereotactic or ultrasound guided), a small clip is left in the breast. This is done in case the pathology come back as malignant. The surgeon would easily be able to find the area of question in the breast when you went to surgery for a lumpectomy. The clip is an incidental finding, meaning it has no effects on your health.

A small nodular density is seen in the left breast, but it has not changed since your last mammogram. Was your last mammogram in 2003? There are many benign conditions of the breast which show up on mammograms as a nodule. A cancerous nodule does not remain unchanged over time. A cancer always grows. So, since this nodule has not grown, it is nothing to be concerned about.

Your mammogram showed nothing you should worry about. Make sure you follow the radiologist and your doctor's recommendations regarding when you should have your next mammogram. Best wishes....

i dont get ur question? God bless

sounds good you have a nodule in your left breast that was present on the last mammogram and has not changed in size or shape

Didn't catch the question, but I sure learned something.thanks

I love breast questions!

Since it's benign, what else do you want to know? Surgery is probably if mass changes (bigger) with calcifications (usually cancerous). Hope it won't.
