speciman:colonic biopsy,sigmoid area
clin.data:abnormal colonic mucosa.R/O malignancy
microscopic:all of the fragments are partly or completely replaced by adenomatous halnds with severe atypia.one of the fragments show few adenomatous grands along the bundles of muscularis mucosa,not excuding invation.typical desmoplastic reaction was not seen.
diagnosis:colonic biopsy,sigmoid area:
adenomatous changes to colonic mucosa with severe atypia see comment.
comment:stromal invasion cannot be excluded with certainty.examination of the entire lesion is recommended.


second report:non specific chronic and active inflammatory reaction with structural distortion and moderate to severe dysplasia.
no definitive evidence of stromal invasion seen

Yes, there is always hope of being alive, especially since your doctors seem to be on top of the situation. They may have to do more tests? Sounds like a polyp..adenoma is a name for a type of benign tumor of glandular origin..polyps have to be removed and checked for malignancy (cancer)...dysplasia or atypical is sometimes what comes before cancer...

Sometimes these polyps can be familial (run in families) or genetic possibly?...maybe the person had a lot of them?
