Colonic Cancer? |
My father ( 68 years old ) recently diagnosed with colonic cancer in sigmoid , he did surgery and resected the tumor but the surgeon found para-aortic lymph node involvement , he resected them as well , he found that the peritonium and the liver are free from malignancy , now my father is taking chemotherapy in the form of 5Flourouracil and calicium folinate 5 days each month ...my question is the prognosis , how long he expected to live ? If all goes well, maybe another 20 years. that is really up to your father. what i really mean is it all depends on the person if they are fighters, they take care of theirself, and their body can handle all that chemo/radiation and medication, then for a long period of time. but if they are weak and cant do everything i just said then not so long. but im sure your father is a fighter |
