What do you know about male menopause?

I see a lot of guys saying it doesn't exist, but I bet a lot of women would say different. My husband is having hot flashes and mood swings and irritable nervousness. He's 45.

Men don't go through menopause but they do have one or two midlife crisis.

Something else could be responsible for your husbands hot flashes...

Testosterone levels in men start to diminish from the age of about 40 and continue then for many years. The lower levels of testosterone induce increased body fat, reduced libido and moodiness... all by reason of the lower levels of testosterone and the consequential result of raised proportion of oestrogen.

Women have menopause... a period of time in which their body permanently stops ovulating.

Men do not ovulate and therefore do not have menopause. To try and square things up a bit.. someone thought it was a good idea to tell men that they get menopause too... and use the lower testosterone as a determining sign... if that were so... men would have menopause from the age of 40 through until death. The concept of male menopause is silly.

Your husband should join a gym... alternatively... there is testosterone replacement therapy. Get him to take a blood test.
