no...you're not "ill". chances are you are experiencing the natural symptoms that are part of the decline in reproductive hormones as we all age (both sexes)-for females, you can get this & still have your period. these things can be mild or even disabling in some people. hormone treatment will rid it.

what this hormone decline is called is andropause in men & perimenopause in women, this falls under the category of menopause in general. this can start as early as age 5 in people. the symptoms are the same for both sexes.

Sorry, guess I didn't phrase the sentence correctly regarding "hormone treatment will rid it". I meant any hormone treaments that ARE NOT HRT. I don't recommend HRT to anyone due to risks as well as the likelihood of side-effects from the pills (these pills have about 20 side effects with them that you can get).

What you said was "hormone treatment will rid it" but the newest news is horomone treatment causes cancer so smart women don't take it anymore. Then they said "soy" would cure those things. And women don't take soy anymore either. By the way, soy gives guys a female chest. So you say menopause could start in men and women age "5"...wow. Are people called "men and women" at that age even?

Very true--but not for everyone. Mental illness is alive and well, and strikes people from all walks of life. I'm sure that some people's illnesses are worsened by these 'pauses', and visa versa.

Remember that hormone therapy caused other illnesses in menopausal women, and few doctors prescribe it any more.
