Andropause, anyone receiving medication.?

If you are receiving treatment for the andropause(male equivalent of menopause)is it working and how did you persuade your doc to prescribe.What medication was prescribed?

My husband is going through andropause now.. his testosterone levels were non-existant. First they put him on Andriol, 4 caps daily, and there was not too much improvement, so then he went to an Endcrinologist and he switched him to the injections 300mg every 2 weeks and there has been a little bit of improvement.
My husband has steroid-resistant asthma, and has had it since he was 6 months old. All of the years of being on cortisone completely depleted his androgens(not to mention that it ate away at his bones and he now has full blown Osteoporosis).
