Malaria is a vector-borne infectious disease caused by protozoan parasites. Malaria transmission can be reduced by preventing mosquito bites with mosquito nets and insect repellents, or by mosquito control measures such as spraying insecticides inside houses and draining standing water where mosquitoes lay their eggs.

Avoid it if at all possible. The malarial mosquito is the creature that has caused more human deaths than all the others combined

It's an infectious disease caused by the female annophalese mosquito - in many areas of Asia and Africa. Feels like flu then you get a fever, hallucinate and a lot of people die, your bones feel like your breaking and you're sick and have the runs. Altogether not too nice... Best take precautions or wear loads of repellant. Also almost as bad is Dengue Fever which is like malaria but not usually fatal and lasts about 2 weeks.
