Re: malaria; how could it be wiped out where it was wiped out? |
I asked this Q before; only got 1 Answer and it made no sense. ...today in the areas of the world where malaria remains rampant? In the U.S. and other places, malaria was eradicated primarily by draining the swamps and depriving the anopheles mosquitos of breeding grounds. Also, other insecticides were available at that time, albeit not as effective as DDT. The problem in other countries where malaria is prevalent is the hygienic problems. In West Africa there are countries where sewage is open along with standing water. Not only do you have malaria, you also have typhus (typhoid fever) and cholera. Three nasty diseases. Report It One theraputic (not prevantative drug) they do NOT sell here in the U.S. is Arinate by Dafra Pharma in Belgium. THIS is perhaps the best by far, far superior to any of the quinine medications as those make you really loopy. Report It Malaria has also been found in Florida now, but, these cases were isolated from immigrants who came from 3rd World Countries. There is a movement to prevent immigrants from Africa being prevented from entering Europe. Sometimes by violent means. Report It As opposed to Malaria, Yellow Fever is also a problem but since it is mandatory for tourists visiting those countries to have the vaccine and carry a W.H.O. card that has been stamped and signed by a physician. Report It http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaria and links therein should clear things up. i believe they burned every house that was infected in some countries, there far less houses and easier to burn. Dont know I call it Global Warming in my personal opinion, and the weather is getting warmer every day especially in the East coast of the U.S. and the scientists were not sure about it, but they commented it is the Anino climate causing the change instead. However, in the South pole large chuck of ice was breaking and it floated along the ocean and slammed to the shore which block the Emperor Pen quin from going to the open sea faster. These action really caused the pen quin life and the population just recently. |
