Malaria tablets?

hi, i am seeking information on these malaria tablets named resochin chloroquine phosphate. My freind in Goa got them for me, i am returning for my holiday soon and would like advice on how to take them, the dosage is 250 mg. i was advised to take one a day by my freind though i would like more information to be safe.

Two things:
1. You are supposed to take 500 mg of resochin per week, not 250 mg per day.

2. Chloroquine is not safe for prophylaxis in India, as there are resistant strains of the malaria parasites. See

http://www.cdc.gov/travel

and

http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/yellowBookCh5...

for more information.

Don't rely on chloroquine in India. Go to the websites I gave above and see your doc for prescription. Report It
