I have to travel to a country in a couple of weeks where Malaria is present...

1. What is the best technique to use to prevent Malaria from arising?

2. Where can these products be purchased from?

3. Are there any other products that are available?

4. What are the costs for the products?

5. How would patients receive these products free of charge?

1. Malaria pills or vaccinations

2. pharmacy

3. insect repellent

4. 拢5 for repellent, not sure about the pills

5. Doubt it

Tonic water is a drink that contains quinine. you can get it in supermarkets. Soldiers used to drink tonic water to prevent malaria. The thing is that tonic water didn't taste so good so they mixed it with gin. the cocktail gin and tonic was born. tonic water is very cheap.

This all depends where you are going. Some countries have a risk of malaria all year round and others just at a certain time, usually just after the rainy season.
There are several different types of anti malaria pill that you can take and you have to take every day you are there. Also, the risk in generally at dusk so it is advisable to ware long sleeves and trousers. Use an insect repellent on exposed parts of the skin at night.
See your GP who will give you the best advice for the country you are going to and will give you a prescription for the right amount of tablets.
You say that you HAVE to go to one of these countries, if that is on company business then they will pay.
If you do get malaria all is not lost, it can be treated successfully with drugs. Should you develop flu like symptoms within 4 weeks of returning home, tell your GP that you are just back from a country with malaria and he will sort you out
