Will malaria and lithium and alcohol harm my kidneys?

I caught malaria whilst the tablets didn't work as they reacted with my antidepressants. I heard malaria can live in your liver. I dont have an alcohol problem but I like a drink, could ths shut down my liver?

The amount of alcohol that you would have to drink to permanently damage your liver is quite a bit more than the social drinker consumes. Having a few beers on the weekend or a glass of wine with dinner isn't going to hurt you. But if you find yourself drinking a whole pint of alcohol or more daily then you probably have a problem, which could then lead to liver failure.

Malaria can "live" in your liver but this does not lead to liver failure, it only leads to chronic malarial infections. However these can be cured with the proper antibiotics.

I've attached an article if you'd like to know more. I hope this helps.
