Do I need to take malaria pills?

My boyfriend is currently in Ghana for three weeks, and he's continuing his weekly malaria pills for two weeks after he returns. Do I need them? I was wondering if he could be a carrier when he comes back, and if I could get sick from him, even though he won't have it. Any medical advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Malaria is transmitted from mosquito to person, not person to person. You cannot get it from him.

malaria comes from a mosquito bite, he can stop when he arrives, and no you can't get it from him... Take care

you can not get the germs if he does not have it,and you do not need any pills.do not worry.
