Malaria is not a virus, it is protozoan parasite. There is a huge difference.

Are you looking for outbreaks in a specific geographical area? If not then the disease is still killing scores of people every day in Africa and Southeast Asia. It has never stopped occurring. I would suggest looking that the WHO website for good numbers.
