Why do white people die from malaria?

ive had malaria so many times in my life and im fine. where i came from malaria was almost as common as headaches, and nobody died from it.

so, evelliyn, are u trying to imply that where i came from was not civilized?

Where are you from. Ive learned in Nursing school that people in malaria stricken countries develop different blood cells that can deal with malaria and sometimes are born with different blood cells that make them naturally resistent to Malaria

Because where you are from it is common. If I got malaria I'd die. People throughout generations build up antibodies to certain diseases and they're passed from mother to child.
Since we don't have malaria in civilization we don't have the opportunity to build up the antibodies.

No, no, no sorry to offend. I wasn't really thinking right when I wrote that, sometimes my judgement is a little clouded.

Like any disease that is not native to the north if affect those people that do not come in contact with it much.

you have had it plenty of times you say, so your immune system is strong enough to not let it kill you. Others, not just white people, their immune system is not like that so malaria eventually kills them.

thats because were you are from the people are resistant to it. If I were to go there (I am black) I would probably die also. It has nothing to do with black or white.

Although there may be some people who are resistant to malaria, there are still many indigenous people that die from it every year.
