2nd best anti-malaria tablets?

Can't afford malarone tablets. Can anyone please tell me the next best over the counter anti-malaria tablets that I DO NOT need a prescription for?

I'm going to Kenya and I definitely need them!

Chloroquine ia a good one. It's cheap and available over the counter in the UK and there are no restrictions on taking it abroad.

See your GP before you go to take his/her advice on other immunisations that may be a good idea.

Also take with you lots of Loperamide Capsules (available over the counter BUT your GP may prescribe you a load) for the runs, paracetamol, some broad spectrum antibiotics like a combination of metronidazole and clarythromycin (ASK YOUR gp FOR THESE) AND SOME IOSINE SOLUTION/TCP.

Lots of G & T's.

Thanks for the question I need them also, we'll await results

look on the Internet and find if you are in a high risk area you might not need them there is a web site that will tell you also vitamin b helps www.malariahotspots.co.uk
or just type in malaria you will get all the sites
