Can magnetic resonance imaging scan taken on persons with metal implants in their body?

Yes and no. Depending on the type of implant, MRI scanning can be done. Implants that will not harm you if they move (like artificial knees) are ok, but things like pacemakers make an MRI a big no-no. If pacemaker leads move, it can be very dangerous for the patient.

SEVERAL CAT SCANS AND MRI'S WERE DONE AND I WAS ASKED OF THE PINS IN MY LEG FROM AN INJURY IN VIET NAM

Sure! In X-Men, Wolverine has one done. I can't imagine anyone having more implants than him.
