What form of Magnesium is best to treat Asthma?

Ive been doing research on asthma and have found that Magnesium can have a bronchodialating effect on the lungs during an attack..So my question is which form of magnesium is good for this?

Magnesium comes in two types:

Soluble forms/organic: aspartate, malate, glycinate, citrate and succinate etc.

Insoluble forms/inorganic salts: chloride, carbonate, oxide.

Overall, the chelated magnesium and magnesium glycinate are often referred to as being very absorbable.

Supplement Recommendations for Asthma

Vitamin C : 1,000 mg 3 times a day.Reduce dose if diarrhea develops.

Magnesium : 400 mg twice a day. Take for 6 weeks to achieve adequate levels.

Vitamin B6: 50 mg twice a day. Especially important if you take the prescription asthma drug theophylline.

Quercetin : 500 mg 3 times a day.Use 20 minutes before meals; often sold with
vitamin C.

Licorice: 200 mg standardized extract 3 times a day. Can raise blood pressure. Use DGL.

Go to a health food store, one that has a person familar with homeopathic healing. They usually have a reference book available for patrons to read through also.My daughter-in-law is no longer an asmatic beause she went to a herbalist and took all natural things for several years. All natural is the way to go,just check with someone or the reference book

Try homeopathy and or tissue remedies (cousin of homeopathy) for a holistic approach.

Sorry! Dont have an idea about the connection between Magnesium and Asthma. But you can see some good natural remedies at mamaherb.com for asthma. You can also give your comments if you like. And yes if "Magnesium is best to treat Asthma" then don't forget to upload it on the site.
