Can you take magnesium & zinc with orange juice?

My son is taking magnesium and zinc (in addition to cod liver oil - omegas) in place of his ADHD meds. I have been mixing the magnesiun and zinc in with OJ to help get them down the hatch easier. Will anything in the OJ counteract the others? And weaken or cancel teh effect? I know that there are some meds that shouldn't eb taken with OJ...something about blocking the absorption? Any advice here??? On the OJ or trying to treat ADHD without meds??

i mostly advice to drink no grapefruit lemon or orange juice because they compete with magnesium

I take magnesium daily for muscle cramps and have found them to be the hardest to take. I take several different herbal supplements and this one is the hardest. I break them into and have to take them with milk or cola, something with more substance than just water or tea to help them go down. I have been told NOT use take with orange/grapefruit juice. I hope this helps but by ALL means, keep taking the magnesium!

A better source of fatty acids is Krill Oil. The Vitamin Shoppe will order in DAVINCI Lab Krill Oil if you ask them. Fatty acids can also be gotten through fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, avacado and nuts (raw, not roasted). Watch the sugar in his diet.
